John Boye Multipurpose Cooperative Society main purpose is people empowerment by providing livelihood opportunities through various types of services. Its contribution to community development in upland, lowland and coastal areas is through: a professionally managed Credit and Savings Operation; associated education components; and the provision of social services. In addition John Boye Multipurpose Cooperative Society also actively assists various livelihood projects for small farmers and fisher-folk including access to technologies, procurement of inputs and marketing of products.

To build a strong and viable Co-operative, unified by a common aspiration to promote Co-operative Principles. Through the Co-operative Spirit we shall achieve self-help, self-reliance, economic strength, and unity.

1) To instill the Co-operative Spirit as a way of life;

2) To provide the best benefits and assistance possible;

3) To serve our members as one of our own family;

4) To improve our member’s economic well being;

5) To increase leadership through participation in the affairs of the Co-operative;

6) To promote a sense of belonging for the Co-operative;

7) To co-operate with other Co-operative and organizations to strengthen the Co-operative principles.

OBJECTS

1) To promote the economic interest of its members;

2) To encourage thrift, co-operation, self-help and mutual assistance among its members;

3) To undertake co-operative ventures and projects for the benefit of the members;

4) To promote greater awareness and consciousness of a progressive and improved lifestyle among members of the Indian community;

5) To alleviate or reduce the indebtedness of the members by enabling them to obtain loans on terms better than those in the commercial market; and

6) To do such other things or provide such facilities or services as may be necessary, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
